Social Bookmarking

Some of you may recognize this post from one of my other blogs, but I think it is appropriate in both places. Read on!

Everyone wants to know these days how to get more traffic to their site. The way I do it is through social bookmarking.

Social bookmarking is using the social bookmarking sites to gain links, and followers. I have included their links below.

I also use a service called SocialMarker that helps automate the submission process to social bookmarking sites. It helps me save time. Before I found this, I was wasting half my day submitting my sites!

One thing you need to remember, You need to participate in these sites. You cannot register with them, submit your sites, and expect things to happen. It doesn't work that way. You will lose out if that is what you are planning on doing.

You need to make friends on these sites, and participate in their sites, and bookmarking as well.

This comes to my next thought of Social Networking. This is basically the definition of it. Joining sites to network. Find friends, participate in what they are doing! If you are active in these communities, and I am not talking about spamming them either, then you will benefit 100 fold!
